Do you dream of being a professional Chef and working in the kitchen of a gourmet restaurant? Or, want to fine tune your culinary skills?
We can make your dream come true with Chef for a Day at the Savage River Lodge.
As a Chef for a Day you'll have the unique opportunity to work side by side for a day with our Chef. You will help plan, prepare and cook a four-course gourmet meal. You'll learn essential skills, tricks of the trade and, at the end of the day, sit and enjoy your meal. You'll take home knowledge, memories, recipes and your own personalized chef coat.
The cost is $300 per person or $250 each for two or more chefs. The Lodge's Chef for a Day program is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays only and requires prior approval from the Executive Chef.

You may choose to invite additional dinner guests to share your meal. At a cost of $75 per person it's a great way to share your experience with family or friends, or to entertain clients and business associates.

Chef for a Day
I have just returned from the most beautiful part of Maryland, having just been "Chef for a day" and it's hard to put into words just how good the location and the course was. I have taken many cooking classes - but this one was one-on-one with a veteran of the industry teaching me some incredible recipes and techniques. The dinner itself was delightful, with a table up close to the pass through, fabulous service and a drink after dinner beside a roaring fire. The little touches, such as the personalized chef jacket, the certificate and printed menu to take with me made it all the more special.
